DIY seems to be the in-thing for most bride-to-be's these days. We all love to have something personal, something unique that people can remember our wedding for. So all ladies, whether or not they are creative, will try to do up something to impress the guests. So just how important is this element called the 'Decoration'?

Look at these photographs from my very own wedding venue decoration:

Most of the props you have seen above are rented from IM-Perfection which saves me quite a bit of DIY time needed. It really effortlessly pump up the whole atmosphere. I am very thankful that I found them after my friend talked to me of this postbox angbao box she had seen, which is really unique. Some others are borrowed from friends, such as the vintage luggage. When you do your own decoration, it is very easy for you to incorporate elements of yourself into the place. It does requires quite a bit of time to do the research on where to get the respective items and it takes even more creativity to visualize how everything will look like when pieced together but it is a fun process. I mean, how often do you think you will get to do these again?

Mine ended up to be the popular photo props for most of my guests that day. I almost got jealous of my props cos they were all in awe of the decorations (JUST KIDDING. Haha.)! At the end of the day, the objective is met - a wedding uniquely mine. When your venue is beautifully done up, guests will naturally snap more photographs and that too leaves you with more memories of your big day.
